Every child is entitled to safety, development, education, care, identity, and a voice in matters affecting them.
Overview
Decisions concerning a child should place the child's best interests, dignity, age, and evolving abilities at the centre.
Violence, exploitation, neglect, or harmful labour
Denial of education, care, identity, or appropriate protection
Move to a safe place or seek urgent help where immediate danger exists.
Write down what happened, when, where, and who was involved, if it is safe to do so.
Keep relevant documents or evidence securely and share only what is necessary.
An adult may report for a child. Avoid questioning a child repeatedly or sharing identifying details publicly.
