A ceremony was held in Hargeisa at which the new Executive Director of the National Human Rights Commission formally assumed office.
The Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, legal counsel, representatives of the good-governance institutions, Commissioners and other invited guests attended the ceremony.
During the event, the outgoing Executive Director reviewed the work completed during his term in office.
The new Executive Director commended her predecessor's service and pledged to accelerate the Commission's work and the important responsibilities entrusted to the national human rights institution.
